True crime aficionados should make the time to check out Laura Paglin's documentary about the victims of serial killer Anthony Sowell, which airs for the first time on UK television. While Paglin doesn't shy away from the details of Sowell's case - 11 female bodies were found in and around his property in Cleveland, Ohio, in 2009 - the film's real power comes from the testimony of those who survived his abuse. "Church people turned away," says one, Vanessa Gay, of her escape from the house where Sowell had kept her imprisoned and addicted to crack cocaine. "Nobody helped me."
